Explore sustainability through your own lens.
D2E invites students, activists, artists and everyone in between to submit original three-minute digital videos focused on themes of sustainable living and natural landscapes of New England. Your videos should be strongly visual and can explore any related theme, in any style: narrative, ambient, montage, animated, documentary or experimental. Entries can be visual diaries of natural places and how people use them or advocacy messages about environmentally sustainable ways of living. Video entries must follow the simple rules listed below and must be received by March 14, 2008 (details below). Selected entries will be presented on the main stage at D2E. The most compelling, effective and creative entries will be recognized at D2E during the opening ceremonies on Friday March 28.
• Show us your favorite natural landscapes in the New England area.
• Share outdoor activities that build a connection with nature.
• What is your environmental message?
• How do our lives interact with the natural world?
Note: Strong visual images are a striking way to tell your story, with or without sound. Show
us what you mean rather than telling us verbally.
Rules and guidelines:
– Videos must be three minutes or less.
– Submit your video in one of the common digital video file formats such as: .AVI (preferred for best quality), .MOV, .MPG, MPEG4 and .WMV.
– Use resolution settings appropriate for projecting videos rather than for playback on a mobile device.
– Videos must be received by Friday March 14, 2008 at the below address: Commonwealth Promotion, Inc.

– Send us your video files on a CD or DVD. Remember to send us the files rather than an encoded DVD format so we can copy them for projection.
– Videos must not use copyrighted material without permission.
– Submitters must possess signed release forms for all persons appearing in their videos.
– D2E and its artistic advisors reserve the right to choose which videos will be presented and may reject entries for any reason, including relevance to sustainability themes, appropriateness to D2E, and effectiveness of the message.
D2E (down:2:earth), held March 28-30 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, is an exposition of companies who are responding to consumer wishes for more sustainable products that combine sustainability with style and innovation, as well as an education forum for learning about a greener lifestyle. www.d2eboston.com
